Handmade Christmas Pledge Update - Some Goodies on Madeit

So today's post is all things i would love to get for Christmas. Over this last week I have also order this great card for my sons teacher.

I order this great Notebook for someone special, it's covered in vintage flocked wall paper.

And these great gift tags.

Now some wonderful goodies from Madeit

I fell in love with this print as soon as I saw only a small part of it. It's so beautiful. All of Alex's prints are so amazing.

This crochet necklace is amazing and so cool.

I love this tree, the tray underneath would be so great to place heavier things like bracelets.

I love the idea of a stack ring and this set is just so beautiful.

I love this print, I can remember by brother and I getting each other with tea towels. It would look so great in the Kitchen.

My son finally got around to updating his blog so stop by and see his great new goodies.

Handmade Christmas Pledge Update - Slack Old Me & Calendars

Well havent I been slack. I did so well during Blogtoberfest then you must be thinking that I fell off the face of the earth, lol. I've been working on a big project that I will share with you all shortly. I have also been doing some Christmas shopping.

Along with the Film v Bullet Backpack in my Teen Boys post, I also picked up this great Vintage US Air Force Belt Buckle for my son.

This really cool pocket for my son to use as a pencil case at High School. It's made from bike tubes.

I was very tempted to buy one of these for myself, I ordered this great headband for someone special.
 From Colour Bazaar

Everyone need a good calendar every year (I have 3 up in my house atm) so here a couple of my favs.

I love this Great Outdoors Letterpress Calendar, for some reason it reminds me of Canada.

Wouldn't this calendar be great beside the home phone. I love the retro style.

This printable calendar, would be perfect for when I'm doing my budget. It would give me something nice to look at while I'm doing such a dreaded thing, and it would be such a help.

This calendar would look like a work of art on your wall. It's on my wish list.

I'm over my slacking now and will be back to blogging everyday.

Handmade Christmas Pledge Update - Teen Boys

So the other night I was having a bit of a melt down over the fact that it  really hard to buy presents for a child that is going to be starting high school because it is quite normal that kids change after they start, it can be even harder if you are looking for handmade. You don't want to be buying something that only use for a short time. So after chatting Dannielle from With2ns on twitter I went on a big search and I think I have found a great bunch of goodies that my son's going to love.

As soon as I saw this beanie I knew that I had to get it, Dion is off to Japan in March to Snowboard, so this will be perfect.

What great artwork this would be for a boys room.

If I had a penny for the amount of times my son has said this to me, I wouldn't be very rich but I could buy myself something really nice. hahaha

What a great use of broken skateboards.

Maybe this clock will help him get to school on time, lol. Who am I kidding, but it does look great.

Got to have a great bag to start high school with.

Boys and cars what more do I have to says.

So tomorrow I will share with you all how I work out my Christmas presents etc.

Handmade Christmas Pledge Update - Flowers on Madeit - Blogtoberfest Day 31

This week Michelle from Michelle's Art and Photography listed one of her beautiful rose drawings. I was lucky enough to be able to get one of Michelle's beautiful drawings back in May for my grandmother, so I was quick to snap up this one for myself for Christmas.

Isn't it beautiful.

So this weeks Madeit post is all things found using the search word "Flower"

Michelle also has this beautiful trio, I was so tempted by this also.

This is just stunning, I just wish I could wear something like this.

These are on my wish list this Christmas.

I like both this colour and the non-colour flower versions of this print, it would be so hard to pick.

How pretty is this mobile.

If you would love to read an interview with Michelle from Michelle's Art and Photography check out this Artist's We Love post.

Handmade Christmas Pledge Update - Prints - Blogtoberfest Day 29

I think that a print can be a wonderful present. Over the last couple of years I have been building up my collection of art and often put different prints on my wish lists for Christmas and Birthdays. A lot of my collection is around my desk which I spend so much time at and it brings me such joy and inspiration.

BTW this post is a little longer than normal but I just couldn't make it any shorter, I love them all.

I love the the blue gumboots in this print and the placement of the feet is just so cute.

I fell in love with this print as soon as I saw it, I love the deep blue of the dress and the porcelain skin.

The woven texture of the hair and little bird are so beautiful.

I love the combination of the Pink with the green of this print. It's just so pretty.

I love the light colours and the hand drawn lines of this bird.

What a great idea this print is and I love the retro look.

Dion has already requested this print for Christmas (It's the closest that he will come to camping with me, lol).

This print just makes me smile. How cute.

If you are thinking of buying someone a print for Christmas but are worried about finding the right frame, I use the Frame Shop you can have custom frames made online. I have nothing to do with the Frame Shop I have just used them a number of times and have always found their service fantastic, postage not expensive and always fast.

And a tip that I learnt a while back, you can have lots of different types of art but if you frame them in the same colour frame (it does not need to be the same size or frame style) they will all tie together. When framing my artwork I chose to frame them in white frames. It also means that I can move it around from room  to room and it always works well with what is already there.

Handmade Christmas Pledge Update - Doilies - Blogtoberfest Day 22

Lets face it who doesn't love a doily, I'm just a little bit obsessed. Here are some of my favourites.

What beautiful colours, I would love to hang some of these over my desk. So pretty.

I love how the doily stands out against the gray background on this clock.

I'm not one for using coasters but these are just so beautiful.

This hand stitched beetle on this doily is just amazing.

I have a doily snowflake from Wanna Be that hangs on my desk all year round its so pretty.

For us homebodies home is where the heart truly is. Like Dorothy said "there's no place like home"

Handmade Christmas Pledge Update - Cushions on Madeit - Blogtoberfest Day 17

So this week I actually got around to buying a couple of Christmas presents. I picked up the calendar below from Sissy Sparrows for myself. I just couldn't resist, it's so cute. I also ordered some beautiful soap from Lovely Cosmetics for someone special or even myself, I haven't decided yet.

So this week I thought that I would bring you all some beautiful cushions from Madeit. As some of you might know we have a day bed in our lounge room so some great new cushions will be on my wish list this Christmas.

I love the floral fabric and the hearts of this cushion.

What beautiful roses.

What a great idea, I love this cushion.

I love this cushion from Tractor Girl, the stitching is amazing.
